3 attempts, 3 fails, and the awkward conversation.

It is day 6 since I last wrote a blog post. I have tried 3 times to write a new one, each time I'm interrupted, forced to save Ze Post as a draft. So here I am, one more time, trying to write again.

I'm determined to finish.

~

I was offered jobs at both the Children's Place & Aeropostale.
I'm going with Aeropostale.
The C's P. pushed their company credit card. Not so much in support of it.
Now I can still work in retail, without having to be pushy.
Squee!

To quote myself, which I do quite often, from the eff.bee:
"It's 84 degrees outside, and I'm still hating the heat.. There's something wrong with me. The other day I loved being in the freezingness of the Costco fruit & veggie room. I'm destined to live somewhere cold I think."

How many times do I have to say it.. I have never been meant to live in Arizona for the rest of my life. {Watch, I'll end up never leaving just because I talk about it so much}

~

You know those awkward conversations with someone you haven't talked to or seen in a million years,
especially from a place you've been trying so hard to forget:
"Hey, do you remember me?"
or
"Hey, I haven't talked to you in so long"

Yeah. That's because I've been avoiding you.
Just kidding.

You talk about college. You talk about love life. And family.
Then it ends with that awkward "Oh, I just remembered I had to do that one thing for my grammy.. Her copier is jammed.. yaddayadda.
And they're still. logged. on. 30 minutes later.

Genius.

Those conversations are my favorite, mostly because I'm laughing on the inside about how I really was trying to forget you. Well, not necessarily Y-O-U. But the place you came from and all that those 10 months entailed.

I have a weird sense of humor.

~

Like how I find this conversation funny:
"Stop tickling me, I have to toot."
"Sarah, I think we have gotten too comfortable with each other to be talking about farting in front of each other."
"At least mine don't stink.. Dang, now I have no battle weapon to use against you in the future." {Referring to a story I'd heard from a coworker at AZ Bridal when she suffocated her husband with a nasty one, under their comforter.}
What can I say.. I grew up with 6 brothers and only 1 sister.

I have lots of exciting things happening this week.
1. OhMiGosh. It rained heffalumps and woozles today!!
okay. so that's not really one.
2. I'm doing a photoshoot for some fun teens on Friday for a birthday.
3. I'm shooting a wedding! Yay! Haven't had one for a while. I've been dying.
Really.
4. I'm taking pictures of 4 seriously adorable children, of the amazing woman I team teach with in Primary.
She is amazing. She makes these darling gems known as the Vintage Rose Wraps.
Order some. They're worth it and SO cute!

Okay. I'll stop talking now. :]
Bonne Nuit!

  1. Ok, Sarah, you are just plain adorable! I can never get enough of reading your posts. And, yeah...about the leaving Arizona thing. Over my dead body. Either that or I'm coming with you! Dad and the boys...oh, I guess they'll have to come, too.
